  • SE Asia travel:

My husband and I have been taking short excursions from Singapore. Singapore’s location makes it fairly easy to go 2-3 hours and be in some amazing countries.

We have been to Penang, Malaysia, Phuket, Thailand, Bali, Indonesia, Hoi An, Vietnam and Cameron Highlands, Malaysia.

Here are a few photos of our adventures….

    Kata Beach, Thailand

    Ubud, Bali Indonesia

    Cameron Highlands, Malaysia

    Hoi An, Vietnam

  • Dog mom, Boxer lover

Mija, the boxer, is 7 yo. She is spunky and still has quite a bit of energy. We walk 2-3xs/day and she has doggy daycare 1x/week as well as a group dog walk on TH’s (she needs her social time too!). How could anyone resist this face!!

    US Expat in Singapore

I am here with my dog, Mija and my spouse. He is hard at work in the semi conductor industry while I figure out the ins and outs of being a housewife; I prefer “administrative assistant”.

I arrived in Dec. 2025 and now, here at the end of August can say I am (almost successfully) navigating the city.

I will continue to add to this page…

  • Wednesday in Central Sg

I start the days with a dog walk for Mija and she pants, sniffs, etc along a few routes I can choose from.

Today, was Fort Canning Park(first pic). Then, my friend, Alicia, met me to go out to the Rail Trail and see the Singapore Quarry (second pic).

Although hot and humid, it was beautiful and green. There were several monkeys that we were careful to avoid eye contact, but they were not interested in our presence.

Now, on to this blog project which has been frustrating considering my level of computer incompetence which I blame on being Gen X…a terrible excuse, I know.
